History of Mark’s

Mark`s, known as L’Équipeur in Quebec, is a Canadian retail store that sell footwear and clothing. The retailer specializes in casual and industrial wear, and first opened in 1977. The first store opened in Calgary, Alberta under the name Mark`s Work Wearhouse and was initially an industrial accessories dealer. In 2002, the store became a subsidiary of Canadian Tire, and re-branded to Marks in 2012. As of 2019, there are over 385 Mark`s locations across Canada.

 

Mark’s Private Labels

Mark`s sells a number of high-quality brands that off men`s and women`s industrial, business, casual, and active clothing and footwear. The store also offers a number of private label brands, which make up about 80% of their inventory. Their private labels include the casual footwear and apparel brand Denver Hayes, the outdoor apparel brand WindRiver, and the industrial-wear brand Dakota.

Mark`s also offers branded apparel and promotional items under their Mark`s Commercial division. Formerly called Imagewear, this division specializes in:
